Excellent action, good plot, nice twists. One major glitch: NASA had nothing to do with a protected SATCOM program, and would not in the future. It would be all USSF but aside from that the space parts were well done, and I enjoyed it.

The Cry of the Eagle had a great story line with deep character development! Charles Stewart wove his experience into an excellent book! I’m looking forward to the next Colt Hawkins novel!

Well written by a military career author. Ex special forces authors have incredible life stories to use for writing these types of books.

Charles A. Stewart really knows how to write a Special Ops thriller. The level of detail regarding the tech and the paramilitary maneuvers makes everything feel so grounded and real. The action sequences in Spain and Taiwan were intense, and I loved that the female leads were just as formidable as the operators. Highly recommended for fans of the genre!

I literally stayed up until 3 AM finishing this one. It is everything I want in an action/adventure novel: global stakes, deep state conspiracies, and a hero you can’t help but root for. Colt Hawkins is such a compelling protagonist and the way he deals with the aftermath of his wedding day tragedy really adds an emotional weight to the story that most thrillers lack. The ending was absolute chaos in the best way possible—my heart was pounding through the final chapters. A must read for any fan of gritty CIA thrillers.
